Human Eye Structure

Human eye is a ball-like organ, composed of tunics. The outermost tunic is called sclera. Its central anterior portion is modified so that it makes a transparent "window" into the eye. This is called cornea.

Middle coat is the choroid, blood rich nutritive tunic.

The innermost tunic is retina, where the photoreceptors lie.
